September 18, 2024 — Texans Can Academies' principals are hosting a series of community events across campuses to engage students, staff, parents, and community members in discussions about each school's vision, mission, and annual student outcome goals. These goals are designed to align with the district’s broader objectives, which emphasize individualized education and the social-emotional guidance necessary for students to become college, career, or military ready, ultimately contributing to society.

These campus-based events align with Texans Can Academies’ Board-hosted community events, which are guided by the Lone Star Governance (LSG) framework. Founded on research, Lone Star Governance is a continuous-improvement model for governing teams—boards in collaboration with their superintendents—that choose to focus intensely on one primary objective: improving student outcomes. The LSG framework provides coaching and support to school governing teams committed to prioritizing student achievement.
