Texans Can Academies, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been a transformative force since 1996, providing at-risk youth with a second chance to complete their high school education. What began as a GED program for 200 students has grown into one of the largest charter school systems in Texas, offering both face-to-face and virtual learning with an accelerated four-day school week.
Thanks to Texans Can’s unwavering commitment, over 20,000 high school graduates have been empowered to become contributing members of society, making Texas stronger as a result. Our schools serve students in grades 9-12 who face challenges in traditional educational environments. Texans Can emphasizes individualized education and social-emotional support, with a core focus on ensuring students graduate with a pathway to earning an industry-based license or certificate, preparing them for success in college, careers, or the military.
