Texans Can Academies and Regional Hispanic Contractors Association Partner to Launch Career-Ready Training Program for Students
Texans Can Academies (TCA Pleasant Grove, TCA Oak Cliff, and TCA Grant East) campuses have launched an exciting partnership with the Regional Hispanic Contractors Association (RHCA) to offer students a unique training program that paves the way to a sustainable, rewarding career. With over 50 students actively enrolled between both campuses, this collaborative program provides hands-on training and opportunities for students to earn a professional license in the construction industry, equipping them with skills that will serve them well beyond high school graduation.
The RHCA’s Contractor Business Center, the one-stop resource of its kind in the nation, supports new, small, and emerging contractors and subcontractors in areas such as project procurement, construction safety, and sustainability. A recognized leader in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry.
Building Pathways to Success
The Texans Can Academies and RHCA partnership reflects TCA’s ongoing commitment to creating clear pathways for students, particularly in high-demand workforce industries. Through this program, students gain invaluable real-world experience, learning directly from professionals while developing both technical skills and a deep understanding of the construction industry. Upon completion, students will have the credentials to embark on a fulfilling career in construction, with a direct path to licensing.
Fostering Workforce-Ready Graduates
Our goal at Texans Can Academies is to ensure that every student graduates with a meaningful pathway forward. By collaborating with the RHCA, we’re helping to fulfill our mission of empowering students to pursue stable careers while contributing to the community.
Empowering Diversity and Opportunity in Construction
The RHCA has long advocated for diversity in the A/E/C industry and works tirelessly to support businesses owned by underrepresented communities. Through this partnership, the RHCA extends its resources and expertise to students, guiding them toward a career that reflects the values of equity and inclusion. Students gain opportunities to interact with diverse industry professionals, setting a new standard for preparing the next generation.
